The Travel Edit | Fall & Winter Travel Planning Begins

The Travel Edit

Your monthly source for travel insights, destination inspiration, and expert planning advice.

August officially marks our first month as a full-time traveling family (and is the main reason why this is coming out a little late this month!).

After months of planning, downsizing, and preparing, we traded our traditional home for our 43-foot RV and hit the road to explore the United States with our girls (and our furry travel crew!).

We’re embracing slower mornings, new destinations, worldschooling, and the beautiful chaos that comes with making memories on the move. I’ll be sharing plenty of our adventures along the way from favorite stops and family-friendly destinations to the lessons we’re learning as a traveling family.

💻 What’s Keeping Me Busy This Month:

While we've been preparing for and now are exploring the country, my travel planning calendar has been BUSY behind the scenes!

Right now, I’m helping clients make the most of the upcoming travel seasons:

🍂 Last-minute fall getaways: Whether you’re looking for a quick beach escape, a family adventure during fall break, or a holiday trip before calendars fill up, now is the time to start planning.

❄️ Winter vacations: Warm-weather escapes, ski trips, cruises, and holiday travel are already booking up. If you’re dreaming of sunshine during the colder months, don’t wait too long!

🌎 2027 travel planning: Some of the biggest bucket-list trips require planning well in advance. I’m already working with clients on European adventures, cruises, honeymoons, and once-in-a-lifetime experiences for next year.

My favorite part of being a travel advisor is helping you take a dream and turn it into a plan, even while I’m chasing adventures of my own.

💡 Travel Tip of the Month:

Build “buffer days” into your itinerary.

One thing full-time travel has reminded us: the unexpected moments are often the best ones.

Whether it’s a hidden gem, a weather delay, or a place you fall in love with, leaving breathing room in your schedule makes travel more enjoyable.

Don’t just plan the places you’ll go, but plan space to enjoy them too!

⭐ This Month's Travel Favorite:

Travel Scale

RV life and air travel have one big thing in common: weight matters!

Our luggage scale has been a game changer both for keeping our RV organized and making sure our bags are flight-ready.

Small, simple, and worth packing for every adventure.

✈️ Where our Clients are Headed this Month:

🌍 Where Are You Dreaming of Going?

Whether your next adventure is a family vacation, honeymoon, cruise, all-inclusive escape, or bucket list trip, I’d love to help you plan it.

You dream it.
I’ll handle the details.

Happy travels! ❤️

Travel should feel exciting, not overwhelming, and that’s where I come in. Whenever you’re ready to plan, we’ll take it from inspiration to itinerary. 🤍

Cheers & Bon Voyage,

Ashlee

Wagners on Wheels Weekly stories from our home on wheels, where it’s more than miles, it’s the story we’re writing along the way. If there was one word to describe last week, it would be bittersweet. We officially closed the chapter for now on our life in Greensboro and began the one we've been dreaming about & working so hard for. One Last Week at Home ❤️ Our final week in Greensboro was filled with playdates, one last field trip, lots of goodbye hugs, and soaking up every last moment with...

Wagners on Wheels Weekly stories from our home on wheels, where it’s more than miles, it’s the story we’re writing along the way. I've thought about how to start this week's newsletter too many times. Every version somehow turned into a novel, and the truth is this has probably been the busiest week we've had in years (and that's saying a lot). Honestly... probably since we were preparing for (and then living through) our last trip to South Africa. So I'm going to try to keep in short & sweet...

Wagners on Wheels Weekly stories from our home on wheels, where it’s more than miles, it’s the story we’re writing along the way. In a little over a week, we'll officially be living in our camper. That sentence still doesn't feel real since we're still putting final touches on renovations before we can even move all of our stuff in. This past week has been a strange mix of chaos, celebration, excitement, and a whole lot of emotions. Every day seems to remind us that this chapter is ending......
